Meet Our Therapists


Brittany Browning, OTR/L
Brittany attended the University of Louisville for two years before transferring to Spalding University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences along with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014. She joined Green Hill Therapy full time in the spring of 2015. Brittany has experience with children of different diagnoses including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder, hypotonia, attention deficit disorder, neurological disorders, and genetic disorders. In addition to hippo therapy, Brittany is currently using aquatic therapy to treat clients with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities and is actively working towards certification in pediatric aquatic therapy. Other continuing education courses attended include Autism Meltdowns in Children and Adolescents and Deep Physical Agent Modality training.  Brittany has been married to her husband, Craig, since 2014 and enjoys spending time outside with her English bulldog, Lulu.

Christine Carrier, COTA
Christine graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2011 with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She joined Green Hill Therapy full time in the spring of 2012. Christine completed the level 1 training in Equine Skills and Hippotherapy Therapy Principles in the summer of 2012. Christine’s continuing education includes feeding difficulties in children, PNF treatment techniques, sensory processing disorders, and effective play treatment principles. She is first aid and CPR certified.

Sheenagh Gividen, OT OTR/L
Sheenagh joined the staff at Green Hill Therapy in June of 2016 after graduating from Spalding University. She completed her Level II fieldwork at Green Hill where she gained a lot of valuable experience providing hippotherapy. Prior to earning her masters degree in occupational therapy, she attended Transylvania University where she earned her bachelor of arts in exercise science and was also a member of the softball team. In addition to hippotherapy, Sheenagh will use aquatic therapy to treat children with physical and sensory disabilities. She is excited to begin her career at Green Hill and looks forward to helping children reaching their maximum potential.

Jane Harper, OT
Jane Harper has been a practicing OT for 29 years, including 21 years in pediatrics. She joined Green Hill Therapy part-time in 2007. Before coming to Green Hill, she worked with children at Enabling Technologies of Kentuckiana (EnTECH at Spalding University), Visiting Nurses Association and as an independent First Steps provider. Jane’s continuing education includes pediatric NDT, kinesiotaping, assistive technology, and sensory integration. She is certified in Therapeutic Listening and Level 1 Hippotherapy. In addition to hippotherapy, Jane is currently using aquatic therapy to treat clients with physical and sensory disabilities and completed the Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute’s Pediatric Certification Course in May 2009.

Sara Johnson, OT
Sara graduated from Spalding University with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2008. She has worked at Green Hill since graduating. Sara has completed level 1 training in Equine Skills and Hippotherapy Treatment Principles. Sara’s continuing education also includes sensory integration training and enjoys attending yearly continuing education opportunities to further her education and get new and exciting treatment strategies. Sara has experience working with children with diagnoses including, but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, rett syndrome, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit disorder, fetal alcohol syndrome, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, and developmental delay. Sara is CPR and First Aid certified for adults and children.  Sara is married to David and have two beautiful girls, Madalyn, 4, and Olivia, 1, and a German Shephard named Remi.

Karla Powrie, PT
Karla Powrie, PT: Graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in
Physical Therapy in 1994. Since then, Karla has had experience in an
acute care hospital, orthopedics and sub-acute rehabilitation. She has
worked at Green Hill since June 2014, is enjoying the experience in
pediatrics and is looking forward to completing her Level 1 certification
in hippotherapy this year.

Evie Yaden, OT
Evie graduated from Spalding University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has been with Green Hill since 2005. Her other work experience includes providing occupational therapy at Norton Healthcare, First Steps and JCPS. She also spent 2 years in Texas working in a variety of settings while her husband, Paul, was training with the United States Air Force. Evie is certified in Therapeutic Listening and level one Hippotherapy. Her other continuing education includes multiple courses on sensory processing, Handwriting Without Tears, First Strokes handwriting, MORE: Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions and multiple courses on autism and aspergers syndromes. Evie has been married to her husband Paul since 2003 and they have two children, Mady and Grant.
